Hello and welcome to #TalkItTuesdsay with Jay, an unbiased place where we can share our struggles and receive feedback from other healthy hair enthusiasts.
The #TalkItTuesday theme is healthy hair so that means everyone is welcome and no topic is off-limits. I know from the community survey, we have a mix of ladies amongst us: relaxed, natural, transitioning and unsure (raises hand). Therefore, I am hoping for a good variety in our discussion.
Let’s Join Together & Be Great!
It seems and often feels like the healthy hair community would love very much to pit us against each other for the hair decisions that we make. But truth be told, our struggles are the same and we’re chasing the same goal, healthy hair. Therefore, let’s join forces to help each other!

My #TalkItTuesday Question
As I look around at all the beautiful relaxed hair and natural hair ladies that are say mid back length and longer, many of them do not wash weekly. In fact, many of them only wash once or twice a month.
I’m at a point where I am no longer washing weekly and all seems to be going good. I average washing every two to three weeks. Komaza Hair Care believes an unclean scalp is worse than the manipulation of washing weekly. I’m not sure I agree judging how my hair is thriving. Other long haired ladies seem to be doing just fine also. I just read an article written by Cassandre Beccai where she states she washes every two to three weeks and we know her hair is long and gorgeous. What are your thoughts?
