Are your combs causing split ends? Today I’m sharing details about the combs I use on the regular. I’m sure it comes as no surprise that I have a collection of combs. Seamless combs are my preference because the lack of seams make it safe and gentle on the hair which lessens the likelihood of split ends. Although I own seamless combs by several vendors, today’s post will focus on Hercules Sägemann only.
Product Info: All Hercules Sägemann’s plastic combs are shaped in premium quality molds in a single production step and are therefore free of *uneven edges that would damage the hair.
My combs and how I use them:
JUMBO RAKE: $19.50
Excellent all around comb on wet or dry hair. On Dry Hair – Great for lightly combing throughout the week. I also use it for pre-wash detangling. Generates little to no breakage. On Wet Hair – I use it as a shower detangler and post-wash detangler. The teeth are so large that it doesn’t detangle my hair 100%. I either finger detangle the remainder or use a comb with narrower spaced teeth. Generates little to no breakage. This is the most used comb out of my comb collection. I literally use it every time I comb my hair no matter if I’m freshly relaxed or 10 weeks post.
1975 – $14.95
Wet hair only. Second pass comb. Little to no breakage if used carefully. The breakage can be insane if you used with sections that are too large to safely pass through the teeth. To avoid this, I use small sections and comb through gently and slowly.
6450 – $12.50
